AiL has also an offer for the more mature ones. Make a trip into exotic Costa Rica and learn more about the country and the people who make this paradise on earth.
This course is for those who enjoy languages and cultures, who love travelling and are eager to make new and fun experiences. And it´s especially for those who look for the perfect combination between a vacation and a Spanish course and for those who like staying mentally and physically fit and active.
Who Why When
As scientifically proven, learning a new language is the best training for keeping your brain young.
No matter for what reason you want to learn, refresh or refine your Spanish language skills, AiL has the right way for you to learn more about this country, our people and the tropical rainforest, as well as for you to first handedly experience the Flora and Fauna.
The program starts on the first Monday of every month and has duration of a maximum of 4 weeks. This program is suitable for single vacationers, as well as for groups.
Groups
For your Spanish course you will be mixed into a diverse group of students, so that you may get to know people of all ages from all over the world. The tours and excursions however are specifically organized for those over 50.
If you are travelling in a group and prefer to receive your lessons among your companions, we are happy to organize that for you.
Excursions are usually organized in the mornings, since afternoons in the rainy season are much too rainy to enjoy your trip.
If you are a group of at least 6 people, we can arrange a special program for you. Just build your own group and get in touch with Yolanda; she will be happy to advise you about your options.
On
inquiry we are happy to inform you. Dancing and cooking lessons
optional.
Accommodations
Host families
Your accommodations will be in a carefully selected host family, in which you will be provided with half-board; on the week-ends you will receive 3 meals a day. You will have the possibility to get your laundry done.
Living in a host family will give you the opportunity to deepen your Spanish skills, as well as to make long-lasting friendships.
Most of our host families are made up of single women or couples who´s house is too big just for them and also have an interest in intercultural exchanges. Most of these families are middle-class; it is especially important to us that you are well taken care of and in a safe environment.
Others
Another option for you is to be accommodated in a small furnished apartment or a Hotel in nearby Alajuela, where there are lots of options for you to choose from. Please keep in mind that these options will have an additional cost to program fees. We are happy to inform you.
Routes
In order to travel through the country there are endless options; here are some of them so you can get an idea of what´s to see. Please be aware that tours and excursions may vary according to weather and season. You can get more information on inquiry.
